What is 100% Native Whey?
100% Native Whey is a protein shake with a proven 80% protein content, utilising the purest and most natural form of whey protein currently produced.
Reflex Nutrition’s native whey is made from fresh milk, sourced in the EU, from grass-fed cattle. This is the most pure and natural form of whey protein, and it is collected in its native form, created by nature.
Native whey protein contains more branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), up to 16% more L-leucine, more essential amino acids, and nearly 40% more cystine than cheese derived whey.
We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure 100% Native Whey delivers an incredible flavour and mixes easily and instantly. By not using cheese-based whey, our products hit the spot with no strange aftertaste, across a range of flavours.

100% Native Whey is a vegetarian product, however, it is not suitable for vegans or coeliacs.

When undertaking a lot of intense exercise, it can be difficult to ensure enough protein is consumed in the diet. There are nine essential amino acids which cannot be produced naturally by the body and are the building blocks of muscle. Supplementing your protein intake ensures your muscles receive enough protein to restore and build themselves.
Consume 2-3 shakes daily, before or after a workout.
Mix 35g, which is approximately one heaped 60ml measure (scoop included in the tub), with 250ml water or milk and shake or blend until a smooth and even consistency is achieved. These are guidelines, and for a thicker, creamer shake, simply add less liquid.
Once mixed, consume the shake immediately, and for exact measurements we recommend using weighing scales as opposed to the ml measurement scoop.
How is it made?
Whey Protein has the highest biological value of all forms of protein, but different processing techniques result in very different types of whey protein in terms of protein composition, impurities, and taste.
By extracting the pure native whey protein molecules directly from the fresh milk at just 10 degrees, and only pasteurising once, we are able to get the highest quality protein for our native whey. This makes it one of the most expensive proteins to produce, but its high protein content and quality makes it worthwhile.
How does it taste?
In our opinion, our 100% Native Whey has the best flavour of any native whey shake. Cheese-based whey products will inherently taste a little strange, but by using native whey sourced direct from fresh milk, the only flavours you’ll experience are of natural sweeteners, cocoa powder and high quality ingredients.

The science behind it
Nearly all our protein competitors use whey from cheese production, from rennet, acids and enzymes, using heat to separate the whey from milk to form curds and whey. The whey is then collected and processed to remove fat and lactose. This form of processing is very effective, but the fact is that it is not pure or the most natural form of whey protein. Double pasteurisation of cheese also denatures some of the protein, and will always contain cheese impurities, which cannot be filtered out. So while some cheese derived whey is very good, it will never surpass native whey sourced from fresh milk.
Reflex Nutrition’s 100% Native Whey uses a state of the art process to extract pure whey protein molecules from fresh milk without damaging or denaturing the protein. This does, however, make it one of the most expensive and time consuming dairy processes, especially when done in accordance with strict quality control procedures. Our native whey is also the only protein powder in the world to contain patented 4th generation DUOLAC® friendly bacteria. Three different strains are used; Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Bifidobacterium Lactis and Lactobacillus Rhamnosus.
